Margin Restoration and Finishing Bur 

Grit: Super Fine Bur

Head Length:  6.0mm tip 

Band Colour: Red

The primary purpose of the restoration margin burs is to create an interface that is smooth, uniform and easily cleaned by the patient. This will increase the longevity of the restoration, decrease the incidence of recurrent caries and promote the health of surrounding tissues.

Instruction for use 

1. Run a sharp probe over the interface between the restoration and tooth structure 
2. Utilise the diamond size that will provide the most accurate reduction 
3. Commence with the blue band diamond for the initial reduction
4. Check the margin continuously for overhangs that may remain with the probe 
5. Once removed, polish with the red and then the yellow band diamonds. 

Handle with care and place the bur into the hi-speed handpiece with fingers or tweezers. 

Best results are achieved when reduction is initiated with the bur moving in the opposite direction to the handpiece.
